Coach Thorndill grew up on Long Island in New York and played division 1 lacrosse for the University at Albany. She moved down to Florida after graduating and started teaching and coaching at Ocoee High School. Ocoee was a brand new program with no experienced players. This is where she began her love of teaching the fundamentals and basics of lacrosse. She finished her career at Ocoee with a 44-27 record after 5 season. After leaving Ocoee, she was the assistant coach at West Orange High School before being name head coach in 2019. Coach Thorndill finished her career at West Orange with a District Title and a record of 67-24. Coach Thorndill currently is the Co- Director of OC Riptide Lax and the head Varsity Girls lacrosse coach at The First Academy in Orlando.
